Important Reminders:

2025 REGISTRATION IS OPEN! Registration will close on May 2nd.
*NEW* Swimmers must be evaluated prior to registering for the team. *New* swimmers are swimmers that did not participate in the 2024 season.
Returning swimmers do not need to complete an evaluation.
The 2025 registration fee includes 1 team t-shirt & 1 silicone cap per swimmer. When registering, please add your swimmer(s) t-shirt size(s) to the cart for no additional fee.
Team swimsuits are recommended but not mandatory. Our team suits are available for purchase at All American Swim in Cary. Simply ask for the Briar Chapel Team "swerve" swimsuit and mention Melissa Milsom when inquiring. Note: we have a new suit design for 2025.

**PARENTS** If you are interested in purchasing a t-shirt for yourself, please fill out the parent t-shirt form. T-shirts will be the same design as your swimmer. The cost of the t-shirt is $20/per shirt.

Swimmer Evaluation Information for New Barracudas

If your swimmer is new to the Barracudas, they will need to be evaluated by our coaches. Evaluations will take place on Monday, May 12th and Tuesday, May 13th.

Age Requirement: Swimmers must be 5 years old on or before June 1st to participate in the swim team.

Criteria for Evaluation:

Swim 25m (one length of the pool) in a forward motion without stopping.
Tread water for 30 seconds, keeping the head above water the entire time.
Float on your back for 30 seconds without compromising your airways.

Evaluation Schedule

Monday, May 12th, 5-7:00pm

Tuesday, May 13th, 5-7:00pm

Sign up for a 15-minute time slot for one of these dates.
Swimmers of the same family are allowed to sign up for the same time slot, but please indicate the number of swimmers in your family with the “quantity” feature. (ex. Smiths, 2).
Please arrive on time for the time slot you signed up for.
If you are unable to attend your evaluation at your scheduled time, please email us at briarchapelswimteam@gmail.com.

Barracuda Practice Schedule

Practice Days: Monday through Thursday.
Practice Duration: Approximately up to 2 hours per day, based on age group.
After-School Schedule: Once school is out (June 9th), we will offer both morning and afternoon practice options.
Age Group Schedule: The specific practice times for each age group will be available in early May.
Attendance: While practices are not mandatory, we strongly encourage swimmers to attend as many sessions as possible to improve and stay in shape.
